Accessibility statement.

This website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Here is what that means in practice, what we know still falls short, and how to reach us if something is not working for you. Last reviewed September 2026.

What we have done

Every text-on-background combination in the site's colour palette has been measured for contrast; the lowest ratio in use is 5.5:1 against the AA requirement of 4.5:1. Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content or function.

Every page has a single main heading and a logical heading order, a skip link to the main content, and landmark regions a screen reader can navigate by. Every image carries a text alternative. Every form field is labelled. Links describe their destination rather than saying "click here".

The whole site, including the navigation menu and its expanding sections, can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator. Animation is minimal and respects the reduce-motion preference. Pages work without JavaScript, except the search box.

Known limitations

The downloadable prescription forms are scanned PDF images of the printed pads. They have no text layer and are not accessible to screen readers. If you need the form in an accessible format, call the laboratory and we will provide the information another way.

The map on the contact page is an embedded third-party component. The address and directions are also given in text immediately beside it.

Practice logos on the testimonials page are images of wordmarks; each carries the practice name as its text alternative.

How it is tested

Automated checks run on every build and fail it if a page is missing a heading, a text alternative, a form label, or skips a heading level. Contrast is calculated from the palette rather than assumed.

Automated testing does not catch everything. We would like to hear about anything it has missed.

If something is not working
